Defeat of Jesse James Days
(September — weekend following Labor Day)
Come and join in the four-day festival that celebrates the defeat of the James-Younger Gang's attempt to rob the First National Bank on September 7, 1876. There are re-enactments of the bank raid, a rodeo, old-time tractor pull, midway, parade, arts festival, arts and crafts shows, and a variety of other entertainment and activities.

Thursday on the Square
On many Thursday evenings in the summer, you will find much of Northfield gathered at Bridge Square, the heart of the city, for concerts and variety shows. Many stores are open, so you may shop in a comfortable, unhurried atmosphere.
