NORTHFIELD CHAMBER LAUNCHES LEADERSHIP NORTHFIELD TO HELP SHAPE BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS

NORTHFIELD, MN (May 12, 2021) –The Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is proud to announce the launch of Leadership Northfield, a newly designed leadership program for people looking to take an active role in helping to shape the future of the Northfield Area. The program, will take place one Wednesday morning a month from September to May 2022, highlighting eight key elements of our community.

“As part of building community, our new Leadership Northfield program will help focus our efforts on building and supporting a new generation of leaders in Northfield and Dundas,” said Lisa Peterson, President/CEO of the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce. “Leadership Northfield will give participants the opportunity to take an in depth look at our economic outlook, learn more about community partners, and participate in a service opportunity with other area professionals.”

Potential participants will need to complete an application as well as a questionnaire regarding their perceived challenges and opportunities that are facing the Northfield area.  This information is critical and will assist the committee in determining participant eligibility.  The goal is to obtain a wide variety of participants from different backgrounds, industries, and skillsets.

The program will commence on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and continue through May 11, 2022, with participants meeting once a month from 8:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  The qualifying participants will be chosen by a panel of business leaders from the Chamber Board of Directors. The fee for Leadership Northfield participants is $700 for Chamber Members and $1000 for Non-Members, which includes, all classes, class materials, lunches, and a graduation ceremony.
