Communities need leaders who not only understand the future, but also help create it. Leadership Northfield enables candidates to learn about Northfield's resources, strengths, and opportunities. Leadership Northfield is a nine-month program that begins in September and ends with graduation in May. Classes are held the fourth Thursday of each month from 8:30am - 12:00pm. Each session provides an in-depth look at nine key elements of our community: education, economic development, government, healthcare, public safety, technology, communications, community culture and diversity.
WHO SHOULD APPLY: People interested in developing their personal, business, and community leadership skills. Class size will be limited to 20 participants.
WHEN: Monthly sessions, the third or fourth Thursdays of the month from October to June. Leadership requires a serious commitment. Attendance is imperative and participants are expected to commit to attend all sessions with the exception of an emergency or illness. Each participant is also expected to attend and participate in the service project.
WHERE: Most sessions will be held at the Northfield Police Department @ 1615 Riverview Drive | Northfield.
COST: $700 - Chamber Members; $1000 - Non-Chamber Members. Tuition is payable at the time a participant is accepted to the program. Scholarship opportunities are available.
